‘I never thought it would work out’: Rhea Ripley on storyline with Dominic
Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio get along well as members of Judgment Day. But that was not the case as Dominik had a good relationship with his father, Rey Mysterio, and the two were rivals at Judgment Day.
In a recent conversation with Michael Fairman, Ripley talked about how formal she and Dominique were to each other before becoming members of the team. She highlighted that initially she did not think a storyline involving her and Dominic would work.

“Once I knew Dom was on the same page with me, it just clicked. (It works out pretty well, right?) Yeah, I never thought it would work, And I don’t think Dom thought it would even work. , especially because we really barely talked at first. It was like a ‘hi’ ‘bye’. Yeah, I mean we Just ‘hello’ and ‘how are you?’ And that’s about it. But like being part of the women’s division, I’m far from the men’s division. But now, I’m part of Judgment Day, so I’m more in it with them. So, I got all these new friends got to make,” Ripley said.
“But like watching these bonds grow and it’s fun because like Dom and me we’re the same age. I’m a year older than him and that’s it. So, like we’re so similar and we’re kind of We’re on the way so it’s just clicking and we’re having a lot of fun,” she said.
Notably, Ripley will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship title against Zelina Vega at Backlash 2023. In the main event, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes will face The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar.
