Ricky Simon’s Threat To Sing ‘Extra Dangerous’ As Both Headline UFC Fight Night
This week will mark his first main-event appearance in his five-year UFC career, but bantamweight fighter Ricky Simon is treating it like just one of his last 11 fights in the company. However, one thing he is sure of is knocking out his opponent, Song Yadong, and hopefully that result will propel him further up the bantamweight division.
“It feels normal to me. I’ve been in the spotlight many times in my career. This is my 11th UFC fight. It feels right because everything coming together makes it the right time,” Simon said in an interview. said during hindustantimes.com,
“Everything is coming together at the right time. I just turned 30 this year. I feel like all my experiences from my past fights have added up and I feel like I’m going into each fight now.” Too confident, so I’m extra dangerous.”
It took five years for Simon to headline a UFC event, which only happened because Renato Moicano pulled out of his scheduled fight against Armen Zarukyan. However, none of that matters to Simon, who is on a five-fight winning streak. In fact when asked how he views his next opponent, Song, who is two places above him, Simon shows respect before declaring his exit with victory.
“I think Song is a very explosive and talented fighter, as well as dangerous. But I feel that ultimately I have more ways to win this fight and I am a better fighter in all areas. So, I think I can knock him out. I can knock him out in five rounds, so I have many ways to win this fight,” Simon said.
Speaking of his aspirations for the bantamweight title, Simon said: “At the moment there’s nobody I care to fight. I just want to get the belt, so whoever can do that the fastest.” Going, I will fight him.
