Roman Reigns reacts after being selected on SmackDown as the No. 1 pick in the WWE Draft
With the No. 1 pick, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was selected in the 2023 WWE Draft on SmackDown on Friday. Along with Reigns, Enforcer of The Bloodline Solo Sequoia and Paul Heyman were also drafted to SmackDown. With the number 2 pick, Cody Rhodes went to Raw. Bianca Belair was drafted as the number 3 pick on SmackDown. With the No. 4 pick, Becky Lynch was drafted to Raw. The new roster will take effect on Saturday, May 6 at WWE Backlash.

The 2-night 2023 WWE Draft will continue on May 1 on Monday Night Raw.
Meanwhile, some matches also took place on Friday night SmackDown. In a one-on-one fight, L.A. Knight overpowers Butch. The Street Profits defeated Braun Strowman and Ricochet and LWO’s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro in a Triple Threat match. Zelina Vega defeated Sonya Deville in another one-on-one match. In the main event of the night, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated The Usos and successfully defended their titles.
