WWE NXT Superstars Make Big Announcement After 2023 Draft Move


WWE NXT Women’s Champion Indy Hartwell vacated her title on Tuesday after being promoted to Raw in the new draft. Hartwell announced that there would be a tournament to crown the new NXT Women’s Champion. And the new champion will be crowned on May 28 at NXT Battleground.

On Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT, Hartwell cut a promo on crutches with his right leg in a surgical boot. She suffered an ankle injury during her successful title defense against Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton on the April 25 Spring Breaking special.

After a high-on-emotions promo, Hartwell’s on-screen husband, Dexter Lumis, escorted her out of the arena. Hartwell later took to Twitter to thank his fans. He tweeted “Thank you and bye”.

Meanwhile, on night two of the 2023 WWE Draft, Rhea Ripley, Seth Rollins, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio (The Judgment Day), WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston (The New Day), Trish Stratus, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, Braun Strowman and Ricochet, Bronson Reed, Otis and Chad Gable (Alpha Academy) and Katana Chance and Cayden Carter were added to Raw Was.

United States Champion Austin Theory, Charlotte Flair, The Usos, Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, Cruz del Toro, Joaquin Wilde and Zelina Vega (LWO), Asuka, Sheamus, Butch and Rhys Holland (The Brawling Brutes), Karrion Cross and Scarlett, L.A.
