Some parts…
Has it sunk in that you played such a flamboyant innings?
I’m pretty sure that’s how I played (laughs)…yeah, it was a really special innings for me because I was playing in Mumbai. There is a lot of emotion and hard work attached to that city in my mind. It’s an incredible feeling, but I think it’s just the beginning for me.
Was this your best knock ever? Do you believe this will be a turning point in your career?
I don’t know about it, but I really enjoyed it. I have scored a few more centuries this year. All my hundreds are special to me because I work hard for them. I think it was one of the best.

There were many brilliant shots during your entertaining century. Which shot did you enjoy hitting the most?
That pull shot (off jofra archer), and also the six that I hit him over mid-off in the 19th over. I loved that shot. My mind was clear while executing that shot.
Has your initial struggle made you tougher for the challenges of the high-pressure environment of IPL?
Absolutely. I think at that time the confidence, fighting spirit, struggle has helped me a lot in my everyday life. That’s where it came from. It’s because I just keep fighting and always think about winning. Nothing else. It’s always given me the confidence, the belief, the belief that I can do things… that I can work hard, that I can push myself, as I’ve done before and I can do it again and again. Will try to do it again.

How has the atmosphere at Rajasthan Royals helped you to be successful? After your century, you gave credit Zubin Bharucha (Director of High Performance at RR) For your much better show. Kumar Sangakkara (RR team director) said he had a chat with you…
Yes, I think because of these reasons I have been able to improve my game a lot Zubin Sir. We have done a lot of work together in the last 3-4 years. I keep working with him, he knows me better than I do, I think! and yes i need credit tell Sir too. Because we keep talking about conditions and wickets and what plans we can make against different types of bowlers. And how do I go about doing things. Everything is going really, really well. I am really enjoying it (with RR). I really appreciate the role all coaches play in my life, but I really want to thank Zubin sir. It is a pleasure working with him.
mi captain Rohit Sharma You were astounded by the power you displayed during your breathtaking ton. How did you develop that ability?
It’s about how I’m keeping myself strong. I trust myself. I believe in myself… in the sense that whatever comes my way, I will do my best, and I will keep believing in myself that I can do it.

Are you already twiddling your thumbs in anticipation of an Indian call-up caribbean Tour a few months down the line?
Everything depends on God. He will decide everything, and I firmly believe in him. I am just focused on my processes. Others will handle the rest, over which I have no control.
